Bruce Johnston, Leasing

Mr. Johnston brings nearly 30 years of experience in Retail Real Estate, and specializes in all aspects related to the leasing and merchandising of malls, lifestyle, grocery drug, strip centers and mixed use properties. In his +22 year career with the Macerich Company, he rose from the position of Leasing Representative to Vice President of Leasing. During that time period he had individual property responsibility and grew to overseeing the leasing, merchandising, and redevelopment of 15 properties, from Fresno north to the Canadian border.

After leaving Macerich, he formed Johnston Real Estate Services, advising retail and mixed use property owners on all aspects of leasing, merchandising, redevelopment and adaptive reuse of vacant buildings. His client list includes Macerich, Fulcrum property group, F & M Partners, The Abbey Company, Urban Realty Company, and BH Development. He also serves as an advisor to Institutional investment firm looking for insight into today’s retailers and landlords.
